The principal amenity accompanying the community is an 18 hole Ted McAnlis designed golf course that has been generally regarded as one of the most scenic--it is not uncommon to see egrets and ibises strutting amongst the rich natural preserves.

While Tara Golf and Country Club is a gem, it should not be confused with the Preserve Golf Club which is literally across the street. The Preserve Golf Club is home to another 18 hole Ted McAnlis signature golf course, in an equally impressive nature setting.
